This week has seen another huge amount of Australian releases. Among the artists that made the playlist is Melbourne’s Aeora, drawing noticeable influence from BANKS on her new single ‘Fenceline’.
Also on the playlist is dance-rock veterans Cut Copy, who returned with their first track in four years. There’s a new collaboration between Perth’s Elk Road and Adelaide’s Timberwolf, as well as a fresh tune from The Jungle Giants’ third album.
On the international front, Canadian band Broken Social Scene made their long awaited return to release their new album Hug Of Thunder – the band’s first record in seven years. American Toro y Moi released his fifth studio album, Boo Boo last Friday and Norwegian duo Smerz have a new single, ‘Oh my my’.
Track Of The Week: Love Deluxe – Spice of Life
Enigmatic Sydney producer Love Deluxe has released his second single, ‘Spice of Life’, following his impeccably funk-filled debut ‘Cool Breeze Over The Mountains’.
This time around, ‘Spice of Life’ steps up the groove by incorporating saxophone throughout the track, complimenting the recognisable drum and synth production existing in his previous tune. Within thirty seconds of ‘Spice of Life’, you’ll be transported to a packed dance-floor under a beaming disco ball.
‘Spice of Life’ vastly adds to the anticipation surrounding the release of Love Deluxe’s forthcoming debut EP, Silk Mirage.
