LISTEN: Flume to drop Skin Companion EP II

Flume has announced the release of the second follow-up to his critically-acclaimed 2016 album Skin – the Skin Companion EP II, out next Friday, February 17.

The Sydney-producer had a prolific 2016, unveiling his sophomore album Skin in May and the first follow-up EP in November entitled Skin Companion EP I.

The four tracks appearing on the upcoming EP were recorded in the same sessions as the songs that eventually made the cut on Skin.

Similar to the album, which featured massive acts such as Beck, Vince Staples and Tove Lo, the Skin Companion EP II also contains a star-studded line-up, including US rapper Pusha T on ‘Enough’, LA musician Moses Sumney on ‘Weekend’ and Glass Animals frontman Dave Bayley on ‘Fantastic’.

The lovers of the pop-influenced Skin may not particularly have a lot of interest in the forthcoming EP, as the previews reveal a collection of heavily glitchy electronica, returning closer to the producer’s roots.

For any collectors out there, the Skin Companion EP II vinyl will be released on May 5.
